J. B. Grant & Associates is a full service consulting firm established by J. B. Grant, former Executive Director and CEO of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture. The firm was established in 1991. We specialize in international agribusiness representing United States and foreign based industries and organizations.

The firm has a cadre of associates from government and private industry with well over a century of combined experience. We have associates in several countries and we are affiliated with Agri/Washington, an agricultural public relations firm based in Washington, D. C. We also maintain a joint working arrangement with Cashdollar-Jones Company, a Washington, DC representative firm.

A specialty of J. B. Grant & Associates is working with the food industry and supermarket companies and associations world-wide. A major client of J. B. Grant & Associates has been the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) of Washington, D.C. We now provide international consulting services for E. J. Krause Associates, working with them on ChinaMart,  a series of supermarket shows to be held in China.

J. B. Grant & Associates provided international consultation to the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) from 1992 to 1998. We provided the international research and feasibility studies that established the FMI AsiaMart Exposition in Hong Kong, held in October of 1995 and again in 1996, at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. J. B. Grant & Associates had a lead role in organizing the AsiaMart show. In organizing the AsiaMart Exposition, we worked in thirteen Asian countries. This work included extensive annual travel in the targeted Asian countries, working with food manufacturing, processing, distribution and retail supermarket officials, association executives and high level government officials. Our contacts and business experience throughout Asia is extensive and we continue to focus some activities in that area.

We have thirty years of experience in Washington, D. C. working with the Congress, federal agencies, and related organizations. For almost a quarter century we were the chief lobby for state agriculture departments in the Capitol City. We are expert in all areas of Washington representation. In 1999 we relocated our offices to Columbia, TN (USA) where we continue to operate world-wide. We also maintain an affiliate office in our former location at 1629 K Street, NW, in Washington, DC.
