Cancelled by the Organizers

ChinaMart '99 scheduled for December 8-11 in Guangzhou, has been postponed by the organizers of the event, E. J. Krause & Associates. ChinaMart 2000 will be held September 6-9, 2000 in Beijing. We regret that circumstances beyond control has caused this postponement.

Following is a lead paragraph from the U.S. ATO Guangzhou Activities Report on September 15, 1999

" ATO Guangzhou will be putting full resources into the USA Pavilion at the December 8-11 ChinaMart Show in Guangzhou. We urge all U. S. food companies to consider exhibiting at this important show. This is the first show to serve South China, and we have high expectations for reaching a record number of qualified supermarkets and importers. ATO Guangzhou will host two seminars for U. S. and Chinese exhibitors."

 

ChinaMart '99 will be held at the Guangzhou Foreign Exhibition Center, Guangzhou, China, December 8-11, 1999. J. B. Grant & Associates is working with E. J. Krause & Associates, with international headquarters in Bethesda, MD, USA, with the production of ChinaMart '99. This second annual supermarket show for the Chinese trade follows a successful first event held in Beijing, December 1-4, 1998.

The EJK produced ChinaMart '99 will incorporate a number of new and innovative changes which will bring the best in exhibits and educational seminars to the Chinese supermarket industry. ChinaMart will be produced annually, alternating between major cities in China, and is organized by E. J. Krause & Associates and The State Administration of Internal Trade of the PRC. Other supporting organizations and agencies in China are the China General Chamber of Commerce, Commercial Development Center MIT, CCPIT Commercial Sub Council and MIT Chain Operations Association.

ChinaMart '99 is expected to attract over 200 exhibitors and manufacturers of products of all types of foods, beverages, supermarket equipment and technical services for the burgeoning supermarket industry in China and throughout Asia. United States and Canadian exhibitors will be joined by companies from around the world in displaying and selling their products to an expected attendance of over 10,000 food executives from China and other Asian countries.

The China supermarket industry may be the fastest growing food and retail market in the world today. This exploding market presents many exciting opportunities for manufacturers and suppliers in the supermarket retailing industry.
